Welcome to the Northern Ireland Awards.
The Northern Ireland Awards provide an annual opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our members and the priceless contribution they make to gymnastics across the Home Country.
The purpose of the Awards is to thank and reward clubs and the workforce for their dedication and commitment to the development of gymnasts and gymnastics. It will recognise and celebrate the achievements of the individuals involved in the sport including Coaches, Volunteers, Club Managers, Welfare Officers, Event Organisers, the Education Workforce, Judges, Young Leaders and Gymnasts.
Northern Ireland Awards 2022
Last year we had to adjust how we celebrated the success of the award winners due to the restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the current restrictions have eased, the Northern Ireland 2022 Awards will continue in a similar format and will be presented to the winners at their club venues in March 2022. There will be a presentation ceremony in front of their own club community, with photographs shared on our social media channels and the British Gymnastics website.
This is your opportunity to nominate that special person or club that you feel deserves one of the prestigious awards.
More information can be found in the Nomination Pack which can be downloaded here.
Nominations close on Friday 17th December 2021 at 5pm.
Although the awards are being presented in 2022, nominations should recognise activity that has taken place in 2021. Due to the limited gymnastics activity that has been allowed to take place this last year, the eligibility period has been extended to 1st September 2020 – 31st December 2021.
Please Note: The person(s) being nominated must be in good standing with British Gymnastics and Gymnastics Northern Ireland, with no unresolved issues between the individual and governing body/home country committee/technical committees.
