Gymnastics Northern Ireland is delighted to present the annual ’ award. This award is to recognise individual or team performances achieved despite difficulties and obstacles whether they are physical, financial, social or otherwise
A full list of the Award Criteria can be found below. The NI Awards Selection Committee will review all nominations in conjunction with the GNI Technical Committees to determine the recipient. To be considered for this award individuals or teams must be members of British Gymnastics and Gymnastics NI, a person(s) who fulfil the role of some, or all of the following: coach, participant, administrator, volunteer and/or team.

Below you will find the criteria for the Special Recognition Award. Please take into consideration all the points when making a nomination. The award criteria must have been demonstrated from 1st January – 31st December 2020.
This award is to recognise an individual or team performance achieved in spite of difficulties and obstacles whether they are physical, financial, social or otherwise. The nominees may include persons who fulfil the role of some, or all of the following: coach, participant, administrator, volunteer and/or team.
- All selected gymnasts must be a resident in Northern Ireland and must be a member of a current BG & GNI registered Club.
- Must be at least 11 years old by 31st December 2020
- Overcome significant difficulties in the past 12 months to achieve their goals.
- Demonstrated a commitment to gymnastics.
- Developed as a person/team in overcoming their obstacles.
