On Sunday 1st March, British Gymnastics will be hosting a coaching conference at Ulster University for coaches who deliver recreational gymnastics to share insight and discuss ideas around best practice.
The day, which will run from 9am to 5pm in the sports centre, provides an opportunity for coaches to join in a range of theoretical and practical workshops run by a range of internal and external deliverers.
The theory workshops will look at the differing perceptions of our gymnasts and parents, how we understand our gymnast’s goals, as well as looking at the principles of recreational gymnastics and how these can be applied within recreational gymnastics sessions.
The practical workshops will go into how these principles can incorporated into recreational sessions in a fun creative way, the inclusivity of sessions, and how we aim to apply our ethos into recreational gymnastics.
