Membership Price Increase for 2019/2020
We've made some changes to the price of individual membership from the 2019-20 year. Increasing our prices by any amount isn't a decision we take lightly, however for the last seven years, when our prices have remained the same, the cost of supporting and growing the community has increased. Many of these costs are out of our control, including rising insurance costs and the impact of inflation over the past seven years. Therefore, to enable us to continually strive to provide the best support, products and services, the price of individual membership will increase by £2 per member.

Judging Gymnastics
The competitive aspect of our great sport requires great judges; judges who understand and apply the rules of their discipline in a fair, objective and consistent way.

We believe in providing the highest quality of judging at all levels to enable our performers to have a fair evaluation of their routines.

Competition rules and regulations for our disciplines are revised and updated every four years in line with the Olympic cycle, led by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), and the Union Européenne de Gymnastique (UEG) in the case of Team Gym, and sometimes revisions are issued mid-cycle. This all means that our judges have to be adaptable.

Other qualities of a great judge are that they are;

Just
Understanding
Dedicated
Genuine
Efficient

Qualifications and courses
We are proud to operate a comprehensive programme of judge education for our competitive disciplines. Most disciplines have four levels of award, with six for Trampoline Gymnastics.

The rules and regulations plus course content for the International Judge (known as Brevet Judge) are set by the Federation Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). Once FIG has upskilled all relevant Brevet judges from around the world, these judges then report back to their federations and set about the task of formulating the course content for National, Regional and Club judge awards.

Use our Find A Course facility to access information for judge education courses.
