Antwerp 2013 – The first World Championships in the new Olympic Cycle
110 years after the first ever World Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, this most prestigious event returns home to the Antwerp Sports Palace, 30 September - 6 October 2013.
These World Championships are the first following the Olympic Games in London in 2012. By tradition, this format of Championships shows the refreshed picture of the sport with the new international Code of Points being introduced and a generation of new stars emerging. No doubt, there will be new names and new trends to remember from Antwerp. The 44th World Championships are Individual only; there will be no Team event. Each Federation may enter a maximum of 6 male and 4 female gymnasts, but no more than 3 gymnasts may compete per apparatus.
