These terms and conditions set out the basis on which you can use our website and place orders for items from GYMSHOP – www.british-gymnastics.org/gymshop – the online shop for Gymnastics Enterprises Limited. By ordering goods from GYMSHOP you are deemed to have understood and accepted these terms. The supplier of the goods featured is Gymnastics Enterprises Limited (hereafter referred to as “GEL”, “we”, or “us”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of British Gymnastics. Registered office for GEL is Ford Hall, Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Newport, Shropshire, TF10 9NB. Registered number 02646569 (England and Wales).

Telephone calls to and from GYMSHOP/British Gymnastics may be recorded or monitored as part of our efforts to further improve service to our customers.
*Unless otherwise stated, all calls to GYMSHOP/British Gymnastics will be charged at the current business rate number charge from a BT landline. Mobile Providers and other Networks may charge a different rate – please check your contract for charges.
Unless you indicate otherwise we may contact you for marketing purposes by email, mail or telephone with relevant offers from GYMSHOP. We may also contact you for market research purposes.
The Terms and Conditions below govern your use of the Gymnastics Enterprises Ltd (GEL) online shop (hereafter referred to as “GYMSHOP”) and your relationship with GEL and British Gymnastics.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not register for or use the GYMSHOP website. Please note that to use any of the services provided on the GYMSHOP website you are required to register as an authorised user on the site.
We make every effort to ensure that the details on our website are as accurate as possible. However, we and our suppliers may improve or update our products without prior notice. The sizes of all Clothing and dimensions of Gift items are approximate and the images may vary slightly from the actual item – especially colour – for, although we strive to give a true representation of the colour in the images on our website, colour reproduction can vary from screen to screen.
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DO NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.
To register with the GYMSHOP online shop you must be over eighteen years of age.
You must ensure that the details provided by you on registration or at any time are correct and complete. You must inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering by updating your personal details.
PASSWORD & SECURITY
When you register to use the GYMSHOP website you will be asked to create a password. You must keep this password confidential and must not disclose it or share it with anyone. You will be responsible for all activities and orders that occur or are submitted under your password. If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password you should notify us by contacting Customer Service (see below for contact details) immediately and change your password to prevent any further use of it by someone other than yourself.
If British Gymnastics has reason to believe that there is likely to be a breach of security or misuse of the GYMSHOP website, we may require you to change your password or we may suspend your account.
The content of GYMSHOP online shop is protected by copyright, trademarks, database and other intellectual property rights. You may retrieve and display the content of the GYMSHOP website on a computer screen, store such content in electronic form on disk (but not any server or other storage device connected to a network) or print one copy of such content for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all and any copyright and proprietary notices. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the materials or content on the GYMSHOP website without written permission from British Gymnastics.
No licence is granted to you in these Terms and Conditions to use any trade mark of British Gymnastics including, without limitation, the trade marks British Gymnastics, British Gymnastics FUNdamentals Movement ideas for Early Years or British Gymnastics FUNdametal Movement ideas.
You may not use the GYMSHOP website for any of the following purposes:
- disseminating any unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material
- transmitting material that encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offence, results in civil liability or otherwise breaches any relevant laws, regulations or code of practice
- gaining unauthorised access to other computer systems
- interfering with any other person’s use or enjoyment of the GYMSHOP site
- breaching any laws concerning the use of public telecommunications networks
- interfering or disrupting networks or web sites connected to the GYMSHOP website or the british-gymnastics.org site
- making, transmitting or storing electronic copies of materials protected by copyright without the permission of the owner
By registering to use the site you will indemnify us against all losses, liabilities, costs and expenses reasonably suffered or incurred by us, all damages awarded against us under any judgment by a court of competent jurisdiction and all settlements sums paid by us as a result of any settlement agreed by us arising out of or in connection with:
- any claim by any third party that the use of the GYMSHOP online shop by you is defamatory, offensive or abusive, or of an obscene or pornographic nature, or is illegal or constitutes a breach of any applicable law, regulation or code of practice;
- any claim by any third party that the use of the GYMSHOP online shop by you infringes that third party’s copyright or other intellectual property rights of whatever nature; and
- any fines or penalties imposed by any regulatory, advertising or trading body or authority in connection with the use of the GYMSHOP online shop by you.
Please note that Event Tickets are non-returnable and non-refundable so please take care when ordering that you order for the correct event, day, session (where applicable) and ticket type. Your tickets will be E-Tickets which will be emailed to you on completion of and payment for your order.
PLACING YOUR PRODUCT ORDER
All orders must be placed on line at www.british-gymnastics.org/shop
You can search for items, put them in your shopping basket, review the items in your shopping basket before going through to confirm delivery details and making payment.
To complete an order, you will be required to confirm your Name, Address (billing and, if different, delivery) Telephone number and email address – this is so that we can email you your confirmation documents and contact you there be an issue with your order.
We will not retain any credit or debit card details on our system.
All items are subject to availability. . Should, for any reason, an item not be available at the time we pick your order, we will contact you directly. Our warehouse hours are 08.30-15.30 Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
Items in your shopping basket are not reserved or allocated to you – they are only secured once payment has been made. Therefore, if you create an order in your shopping basket and leave it several days before you pay for it, items may have sold out during this period – so we recommend you pay for your orders as quickly as possible.
You can pay by Credit/Debit card or, for registered Clubs, Groups, Leisure Centres and Schools, you can also pay by invoice (subject to a successful credit facility application).
For more information on registering your Club, Group, Leisure Centre or School please email us at email@example.com . To apply for a credit facility please contact firstname.lastname@example.org – a credit account can take 7-14 days to set up so please leave ample time for this to happen before placing your first order.
Please ensure your billing address is the address where your credit/debit card is registered – if not your payment may fail.
When you place your order with us, you will receive an electronic order confirmation. Please check this straight away and should you have ordered the wrong item/s please call our Customer Service Team on 0345 129 7129 ext. 2395.
If the order has been paid or despatched we cannot alter or recall it – so it will be delivered to you and, if you need to return it, our standard Returns Policy (see below) will apply. Customer Service office hours are 09.00-17.00 Monday to Thursday and 09.00-16.30 Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
When your order has been picked and despatched, you will then receive a Despatch Confirmation email to let you know that your order is on its way. If you opted for a courier service, you will then be able to track the delivery status of your order by using the tracking number provided to you
Customer Collection is from our warehouse in Newport, Shropshire, TF10 9AT. Deliveries are not made on Saturdays or Sundays, or on Public Holidays. Full details below.
We offer three delivery services for UK delivery addresses – these timescales are for most UK Mainland addresses, but may take an additional day for the Highlands or remote areas, the Islands and Northern Ireland. Please make sure your delivery address is correct as, once despatched, the order will be delivered to the address on your order confirmation and it can take several days (if at all) to get it recalled and redelivered.
- Economy (£3.45): This is an untracked delivery service for delivery within 5-7 working* days of despatch. Ideal for smaller (less than 2kg), low value orders where you don’t require tracking – but as there is no tracking, please note that you’ll have to place a replacement order for any items lost in the post.
- Standard (from £6.75): This is a tracked courier 2-4 Working Days* service. The cost of delivery will be based on the size and weight of your order. If you provide your mobile number the courier will text you updates on the expected delivery time.
- Express (from £8.75): This is a tracked courier 1-2 Working Days* service. The cost of delivery will be based on the size and weight of your order. If you provide your mobile number the courier will text you updates on the expected delivery time. Orders placed before 14.00 Monday to Thursday will arrive the next working day*. Orders placed before 14.00 on Fridays will be delivered on the following Monday (unless a Public Holiday) Orders placed after 14.00 Weekends/Public Holidays will be picked the next working day for delivery the following day.
*Please note that working days are Monday to Friday – excluding Statutory Holidays. Orders requesting Express service placed on Friday before 14.00 will be delivered on Monday (unless it is a Public Holiday); orders placed after 14.00 Friday, on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on Tuesday (or Wednesday if the Monday was a Public Holiday). Any Express orders placed during a Statutory Holiday will be picked the first working day back for delivery the next working day.
You can state a ‘safe place’ on your order but this will be entirely at your own risk. If the driver doesn’t feel that your safe place is secure or easily accessible, your parcel may be returned to the depot or delivered to a neighbour – the courier will put a card through your door informing you that a delivery was attempted and where your parcel is.
If your delivery hasn’t arrived within the expected delivery time, please check that the courier hasn’t left a card for you or delivered to a neighbour. If you chose a tracked service, you can use your tracking number to find out where your parcel is by using the courier’s website. If you have any other issues with the delivery, please then contact us on 0345 129 7129 ext 2395.
If you chose the Economy Untracked service, GYMSHOP regret that we will be unable to help you locate any items that are lost in the post.
Once delivered, the products will be deemed as in your ownership. You must check your order on delivery and notify us within 7 working days of any discrepancies, faults or damage. After this date the order will be deemed as delivered to you complete and correct.
OVERSEAS – if your billing or delivery address is outside the UK, please contact us before placing an order.
CUSTOMER COLLECTION – Orders can be collected from our GEL (Gymnastic Enterprises Ltd) warehouse – Gymnastics Enterprises Limited, British Gymnastics, Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Newport, Shropshire, TF10 9AT
We need 2 full working days to have your order ready for you to collect, and all orders must be placed on line (our GEL team cannot place orders for you). We will ask for ID and a copy of your Order Confirmation from the person who comes to collect your order. *Working days are Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays. Orders can be collected between 09.30-15.00 Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays).
PRICE AND PAYMENT
The prices on our website include VAT for deliveries within the UK/EU but not delivery charges. Though we strive to ensure that the prices on our website (which include VAT) are accurate, it is possible that an item may be priced incorrectly. If there are any discrepancies or you feel a price is incorrect, please contact us before you confirm payment.
For purchases paid for by Credit/Debit card, payment will be taken when you place your order. This payment will show on your statement as being made to Gymnastics Enterprise Ltd. We do not retain any credit/debit card details on our system.
Once an order has been paid and despatched it cannot be altered/cancelled and will be delivered to you.
No retrospective discount will be applied to any orders including where an item is now on offer at a lower price as part of a Sales or Special Offer campaign than you may have paid for it.
Please note that we are under no obligation to honour a lower price if it is obvious that this is a pricing error e.g., similar items are at a higher price or the price is clearly too low for the item.
We hope you are completely satisfied with everything you buy from the GYMSHOP online shop. With clothing, the main reason for returns is due to customers choosing the incorrect size, so we recommend that you use the individual size guides on the product pages to check against your own measurements, as returning unsuitable items to us will be at your own cost.
However if, when you receive the goods, they are not exactly as you were expecting, you have up to 7 working days (Mon-Fri excluding Weekends & Public Holidays) from the date of delivery to return them to us for a refund or exchange. Any Sale or Special Offer items must be returned within 7 days. After 7 working days from delivery the items will be deemed as delivered and accepted and so we will be unable to exchange or refund them. This does not affect your statutory rights to return faulty goods.
Items must be returned to us in an ‘as new’ condition and in the original packaging and, with items of clothing, their original tags. You can log into your account to inform us of your intention to return items – and please enclose your Returns Form with the goods when you return them stating the reason for return. If you do not have your original returns form, you can download a new one by going into your Account, opening your Order and reprinting the Returns Note.
If you are requesting a refund, this will take 5-10 days to appear in your account from the day we receive the items back in our warehouse. Your refund will show in your account as coming from Gymnastics Enterprise Ltd. We can only make refunds back to the original card or account used to purchase the goods. If you are returning an item given to you as a present, the refund will go to the person who placed the original order.
We do not offer Exchanges. If the item you return is unsuitable, this will be credited on return and you can then buy the correct item.
You will be responsible for the shipping costs of returning unsuitable items to us, and your original shipping cost is non-refundable.
If you order from us in December for a Christmas present, you have until 21st January to return these to us – again, in as new, unworn/unused condition and in original packaging with their original tags (if applicable).
Should you feel that the item you have purchased is Faulty within Warranty please contact us on 0345 129 7129 ext 2395 with details of the fault and your original purchase order. We will then send you a returns label (UK Customers Only) to use to return the faulty item so it can be returned for inspection.
For Overseas Customers who believe an item is faulty within warranty, we refund up to a maximum of £15.00 towards the cost of returning faulty items – and this will only be paid when the item is confirmed as faulty and if you have forwarded us proof of posting. Please ensure the Customs Documentation on the return parcel states ‘British Returned Goods’ or they will be held by UK Customs and import duty will be charged. Should goods be held by UK Customs you will be responsible for paying this duty. Your goods will not be released from Customs unless the charges are paid. If you do not want to pay the Custom’s charges, you can ask your Courier to return the goods to you – they will probably charge you for this service.
If an item is covered by a manufacturing warranty, this is in relation to manufacturing faults and not for general wear and tear. Gym equipment is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty directly. The manufacturer’s warranty period will be detailed on your documentation.
Faulty items will be exchanged and payment will only be refunded if there is no stock available for exchange when we process your return. All items are subject to quality testing by our returns team and exchanges/refunds made only if they are satisfied there is a fault with the goods you have returned.

OVERSEAS DELIVERIES & RETURNS
Orders to an address outside of the UK (Overseas Orders) cannot be completed on line as the delivery charge will be calculated separately depending on the delivery address, size and weight of your order. We recommend that Overseas Customers contact us at email@example.com prior to placing an order.
Please also note that your order may be subject to Customs Charges/Import Tax on arrival in your home country and these have to be paid by yourselves before your Custom’s department will release the goods to you. British Gymnastics are unable to advise you as to what these charges will be so please check your local Customs & Import information before placing an order.
Our standard returns policy (see above) applies to overseas customers – but please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning unwanted items to us within 14 days of receipt of your order ( is this delivery at their address or us shipping it?. Please ensure that you mark the Customs Declaration as ‘British Returned Goods’ or you will be charged import duty when your items arrive in the UK. British Gymnastics will not pay these charges so your items will then be returned to you by your Courier at your own cost.
YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
As a UK based customer, should you choose to cancel your order under the terms of the Distance Selling Regulations you must do so in writing within 7 days of your order arriving with you. You are responsible for covering the cost of returning them to British Gymnastics. You can return the goods to us provided they are in ‘as new’ condition, unworn/unused and in original packaging. Once your returns have been approved by our Returns team, we will then refund your order and the original shipping costs.
Any items that are not returned in an ‘as new’ condition will be not be refunded and will be set aside for you to arrange collection of within 21 days. If you would like us to return the items to you, an £9 handling & carriage cost fee will be charged.
CLAIMS DAMAGE IN TRANSIT/MISSING ITEMS
We make every effort to ensure your goods arrive in perfect condition. However, should your items arrive damaged or you believe there is a discrepancy between what you ordered and what has been delivered, please contact us immediately.
Claims against a courier (tracked services only) for damage or pilfering have to be made within 5 days of delivery – claims made after this period cannot be accepted. Please retain the original packaging as the courier may require this as evidence of possible tampering.
We will then begin an investigation with the courier and our own warehouse team – the initial enquiry may take two-three working days as the courier company/Royal Mail will need to interview the driver. During this time we will undertake an internal investigation with our Warehouse team.
We recommend you select a tracked courier service as items sent standard 1st or 2nd class post are not insured for damage or pilfering.
We have strived to ensure that the products on our website are of satisfactory quality and reasonably fit for the purpose for which they are commonly used. Therefore, our liability is strictly limited to the original purchase price of the item/s purchased and only for losses that could be deemed as foreseeable at the time you placed your order with us.
To the extent permitted by law, we, and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:
- All conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
- Any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with our site or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of our site, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it, including, without limitation any liability for:
- loss of income or revenue;
- loss of business;
- loss of profits or contracts;
- loss of anticipated savings;
- loss of data;
- loss of goodwill;
- wasted management or office time; and
- for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable, provided that this condition shall not prevent claims for loss of or damage to your tangible property or any other claims for direct financial loss that are not excluded by any of the categories set out above.
This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Please read this notice carefully:
The DVD/videos sold on the shop show skills and exercises that can (under the supervision of appropriately qualified coaches) be taught and exercised by healthy and experienced gymnasts. Viewers must use their own judgment (or seek expert advice) as to whether the skills and exercises are suitable for the group (or individual) gymnasts they are teaching or intending to use the DVD/video. Gymnasts in the DVD/video perform skills and exercises to demonstrate the skills or exercises being taught. Gymnasts who have physical or any other impediments should not attempt any skills or exercises in the DVD/video without first obtaining appropriate professional advice as to whether or not they should do so.
Coaches or instructors must ensure that they hold the appropriate qualification at the appropriate level for the skill being taught and that the equipment and the location used are suitable and safe for the intended coaching session. If the coach is in any doubt, he/she should seek expert advice from their local gymnastics association or federation.
The producers and distributors of this DVD/video exclude so far as legally allowed all responsibility whatsoever for any accident or injury that may ensue through coaches, teachers or gymnasts using the contents (in part or in full) of the DVD program.
