British Gymnastics will be running a Capacity workshop to support club representatives to identify potential ways in which they can support their club to increase capacity, enabling the club to grow their membership, improve the diversity of sessions they offer and appeal to a wider audience. The workshop will take place across two days on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November at the Bridge Professional Development Centre in Bristol.
With the upcoming world championships and ever nearing Olympic games, we anticipate their being an increase to the already high demand in people who want to participate in the sport.
There will be an opportunity gain an understanding of the Governing Body and the support we provide. As well as providing a networking session to make connections with representatives from other clubs.
The opportunity is aimed at those who want to develop their club and the future of gymnastics. The ideal attendees are those who have the aspiration, commitment and passion to develop gymnastics over a long period of time.
Example topics covered are:
Overview of British Gymnastics
Gymnastics for All- the principles
Working with non-typical gymnastics audiences
Identifying and developing your workforce
Marketing your club
British Gymnastics will then support clubs with the implementation of new activities introduced at this workshop.
