Jennifer Gadirova has made history at the first Junior Artistic World Championships in Gyor, Hungary by taking a stunning silver medal on vault.
The result means that Jennifer will always be remembered as the first British gymnast to win a medal at an Artistic Junior World Championships.
After a brilliant qualification, where Jennifer successfully made it through to three apparatus finals, – vault, floor and beam – she made sure of a medal today by producing two fine vaults.
Her opening vault was well executed for a score of 14.333, and high execution again on her second vault gave her 13.933 for an average of 14.133 which was enough for second spot on the podium to mark an incredible day.
Jennifer also competed in beam and floor finals which saw her place 6th (Beam) just outside medal position in 4th for floor with a score of 13.266, just 0.267 behind 3rd place.
