Level 3+ WA Coach – Required from September 2018
Worcestershire Gymnastics Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our coaching team. Ideally we would like a part-time coach from September, but the position could develop to full-time early in 2019.
The successful candidate will have passion for gymnastics and have the ability to inspire, lead and prepare development /elite squads working up to Regional and National level. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3/4 qualification in Women's Artistic Gymnastics and must be capable of coaching girls competitively. The post may also suit an experienced Level 2 coach who is taking their Level 3. They will also be a member of British Gymnastics, hold a current DBS check and will have attended or be prepared to attend a Safeguarding Course. Transport would be essential, a current First Aid Certificate would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will eventually be required to coach a total of 40 hours per week. Working hours can vary and it would be desirable for the coach to work daytimes in the school holidays. We would consider offering a part time position where the hours would be evenings and Saturdays.
The Role would include:
• Responsible for the girl’s development squad programmes
• Coaching existing squads and developing new squad sessions
• Mentoring the junior WA coaches
• Assisting with in-house competitions
• Additional duties within the club to ensure the position is viable
Worcestershire Gymnastics Academy is one of the largest clubs in Worcestershire and is the only club in the area to offer both WA and MA disciplines to elite level. The club is expected to move into a larger facility early in 2019. We would like to find the right person who will move forwards with the club and help to build on the club’s current success.
Salary £21,000 - £25,000 but is variable dependant of experience and qualifications. Part time would be on a pro-rata basis.

The Gymnastics & Martial Arts Centre , Birmingham, is a specialist gymnastics centre running successful programmes in Mens and Womens Artistic, Preschool, Tumbling Rhythmic and General Gymnastics. We are looking for an experienced forward thinking individual to join and lead the Recreational programme alongside other full and part-time staff.
This is a great career opportunity for a dynamic individual to bring their experiences and enhance what is an already successful and thriving City of Birmingham Gymnastics Programme which has a weekly throughput in excess of 1,400 General level gymnasts.
The post being advertised is Head of General Gymnastics under the direction of Birmingham City Council’s Gymnastics Development Manager, Phil Barrow. The hours will include extensive coaching hours, scheme administration and management roles which would include developing new and less experienced coaches.
