Coaches from West Midlands Clubs attending Judge Education Courses may apply to claim back 1/3rd of the course fee from the region. All requests will be considered on an individual basis.
Changes to the Regional Coaching and Judging Subsidies
After a meeting of the Regional Executive Committee on February 21st 2019, further changes have been made to the system when claiming Regional Coaching and Judging Course subsidies. The changes will take immediate effect.
For courses that started after November 1st 2018 it is the responsibility of those involved, to download the application forms and have the forms signed by the tutor – Part 1 and the assessor – Part 2.
For courses that started before November 1st 2018 it has been agreed that candidates will no longer have to wait for 6 months after the examination before submitting their claim. The claim can be made as soon as the examination has been passed. An official of the club will need to confirm that the candidate has passed the examination
ALL CLAIMS MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN 6 MONTHS AFTER THE EXAMINATION DATE.
To be eligible candidates must be:
Members of a club that are fully affiliated to the WMAGA and committed to supporting the West Midlands region.
The candidate must have demonstrated a judging commitment to their club to judge at minimum 2 Regional competitions. (If your discipline does not have enough Regional competitions within the year then other competitions may qualify but this must be to the satisfaction of the Regional Judging convenyor).
The candidate or their club should pay the full course fee to British Gymnastics in the first instance and the regional rebate can then be claimed retrospectively when the course has been completed and passed and the candidate has also demonstrated Judging commitment to the Region.
