The City of Birmingham’s Mimi-Isabella Cesar is one of three Rhythmic gymnasts selected to represent Team England at next month’s Commonwealth Games. The Gold Coast will be Mimi’s second Commonwealth Games having made her debut at Glasgow 2014. Mimi, 23, who is also backing the Birmingham 2022 campaign said:-
“It’s so exciting to be able to tell everyone I have made the Gold Coast team and I can’t wait to get out there and compete for Team England. I’ve been training really hard over the last 18 months with Gold Coast completely in the focus. I know that my time is now in my gymnastics career, it’s been the best it’s ever been and I know that I have the potential to bring home that medal.”
Mimi has set up a GoFundMe page to help her make her final preparations for the Games. Anyone who would like to contribute to her journey can find the details here.
