Are you a coach, Gymnastics Activity Instructor, or volunteer interested in developing your knowledge working with individuals with a sensory impairment?  If so, British Gymnastics have the below workshop available: 

Inclusion Workshop: Sense – Connecting Differently Through Sport 

Sense's Connecting Differently through Sport 3- hour workshop is aimed at people who coach, lead, develop and deliver sport and physical activity sessions with people who have sensory impairments or other complex communication needs. 

The course covers:  
Practical examples of how to adapt your activities * Information on the types of visual and hearing impairments your participants may have  
A range of activities which simulate having a sensory loss  
How to communicate with people with sensory loss to ensure they are engaged in your sessions  

Feedback from these courses have been extremely positive, with participants stating that they are much more confident in communicating with and adapting their activities for people with sensory impairments following the course. This course is only available to members from BG affiliated clubs, Leisure Centre’s, and Official Delivery Partners’ (over the age of 16years).
