Josh Nathan from City of Birmingham Gym Club competed in the latest FIG World Challenge Cup event in Hungary. Josh travelled with Hamish Carter, Emily Thomas and Phoebe Jakubczyk.
Josh won a sensational gold medal on pommel horse, beating gymnastics legend Oleg Verniaiev to top spot. Having successfully qualified for the final, Josh produced his very best routine to score 14.800 to stand at the top of the podium.
Emily qualified for both the floor and vault finals, winning silver on floor with 12.833, just 0.033 off gold, and finishing just outside the medals on vault in 4th.
Phoeobe had a strong qualification to make it through to the floor, beam and uneven bars finals. She finished 8th on both floor and beam before returning to take a brilliant silver medal on uneven bars with 13.000.
Hamish Carter scored 12.566 for 6th place in the high bar final and Euan Cox scored 13.100 for 7th in the rings final. Also representing the British team was Joe Cemlyn-Jones who gained valuable international experience.
