Team GB trampoline gymnasts Zach Sheridan and Zainub Akbar have finished in 6th and 8th places respectively in the trampoline events at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.
Zainub had a brilliant overall competition, her scores of 42.670 and 50.275 giving her a qualification total of 92.945 qualifying her in third place for the final in which she scored 44.655 to take 8th spot.
Zach had a similar route to the final with excellent qualification routine scores of 43.190 and 52.470 giving him 95.660 to place 5th. Again in the final like Zainub he went for the big routine to try and break in to the medals Zach couldn't quite complete to score 11 for 6th place.
Both gymnasts will have benefited hugely from competing at the Youth Olympic Games which play a crucial role in the development of young athletes and provides a multi-sport Games experience that helps them along the route to their own Olympic dreams.
