Scheme Overview

British Gymnastics Leisure Centre Scheme

Overview

Our Leisure Centre Scheme has been specifically tailored to support providers and sites to develop and grow recreational gymnastics and trampolining programmes. As part of the scheme, we work to increase participation by providing bespoke coach education, targeted activity products and experienced British Gymnastic staff who can offer technical knowledge and guidance on the set-up and sustainability of your gymnastics programme.  We also provide a range of resources for the promotion and marketing of your sessions and the templates and logos to communicate the partnership with British Gymnastics

Leisure Providers will become an Official Delivery Partner of British Gymnastics for Leisure Centre gymnastics sessions. The Leisure Centre Scheme is based on five key areas:

1.    Education

Access to the British Gymnastics Activity Instructor course which was specifically designed for the Leisure Centre market to remove the barrier of the need for a level 2 qualified coach and takes 4 days to complete. A Gymnastics Activity Instructor can deliver Jump into Gymnastics and other recreational programmes independently in a leisure centre environment.

2.    Brand Association

Official Delivery Partners will have access to the British Gymnastics brand assets required to add value and increase the profile of the business.

3.    Products

Access to all British Gymnastics resources including our Jump into Gymnastics programme that has been specifically tailored to the needs of the Leisure Centre environment and removes any existing barriers at site level including longevity of programme, availability of equipment and use of space. The Jump into Gymnastics activity programme can be delivered by Gymnastics Activity Instructors and provides in excess of two years of session plans, works in conjunction with BG Proficiency resources, has a recognition programme for participants to work towards, requires very little equipment/apparatus and can be delivered in non-traditional spaces (dance studios etc).

Jump Into Gymnastics will be retiring as off the 31st July 2022.  For more information please click here.

4.    Equipment Support

We offer support and advice on equipment needs based on activity, coach qualifications and space available to ensure sessions are safe and engaging.

5.    Relationship Management

Access to a dedicated team who understand the needs of the Leisure Centre market as well as recreational gymnastics. Offering delivery and operational support, quality assurance and action planning at site and national level.

Hands on support can be provided to assist sites with the implementation of gymnastics, identifying additional space by helping with gymnastics timetabling, space and equipment needs. We also support sites with community engagement and relationships to ensure a clear pathway. We  look to support sites with the growth and upskilling of their gymnastics workforce to create sustainable programmes with consistent delivery.
