Hamish had success as a junior at British and European level before making the transition to senior. His first competition as a senior was the 2017 British Championships where he impressed by taking floor and vault bronze. At the 2018 British Championships Hamish continued his development by taking vault silver before winning Masters vault and high bar silver.
