Laura returned to action in 2017 at the British Championships at Echo Arena, Liverpool, producing a number of consistent performances to take a brilliant gold medal and followed it up at the 2017 World Championships in Sofia by being part of the team that won bronze. Laura initially rose to prominence having been crowned under-19 world age group champion in 2007. Five years later in 2012, she led the GBR team to European gold as well as securing an individual bronze. In 2013 Laura was part of the World Championships gold medal winning team.
