Deverteuil won the Gold medal for Great Britain in the Group 1
Individual Male Category at the 2007 European Aerobic Gymnastics
Championships in Hungary.
National Squad Manager, Martine Griffiths said:
"After Sebastian won the Bronze medal at the 2005 European Championships, he very quickly set his sights on Gold in 2007. The very cream of the crop from Europe were competing against him and Sebastian knew he had to give the performance of a lifetime to take the European Championship title. He certainly didn't disappoint and is now the toast of the whole Championships because of his electrifying performance."
Nigel Saunders Chair of the Aerobic Gymnastics Technical Committee said:
"I would not have missed his performance for the world. We are all so proud of him and of the fact that he heralds a new era for British Aerobic Gymnastics."
Sebastians winning score of 18.250 put him ahead of Romanian, Mahaita-Iulian Cimpoi (18.200) and Russian Kirill Kulikov (17.900).
