10 out of 10 Finals!

Saturday, 21 April 2012, Lake Buena Vista, USA:          Britain’s juniors qualified for all the ten Finals of the World Age Group competition in Acrobatic Gymnastics demonstrating superb skills, elegance and class over the two competition days at the HP Field House / ESPN Wide World of Sport Complex.

In two of the disciplines they will enter the Finals as the top qualifiers. These are the 11-16 Boys Group - Lewis Watts, Conor Sawenko, Charlie Tate & Adam Upcott and the 11-16 Mixed Pair -Connor Bartlett & Millie Spalding.

The Head of the British Delegation in Lake Buena Vista, Sandra Sargeant said:

 

“I am trilled and delighted to be part of this delegation and proud to have played a small part in assisting these gymnasts to achieve such fantastic results. It is going to prove what strength and depth we have in Great Britain. Hopefully we can replicate this success in the Finals tomorrow!”

    As with the seniors, the “only one per country” rule hit British competitors. In this case- GBR2 Alex Houston & Timothy Pritchard who were just 0.05 behind Christopher Child & Jake Underdown, but out of the Final.
