Over seventeen days in July and August 2012, the city of London played host to the best artistic, trampoline and rhythmic gymnasts during the 2012 Olympic Games. British Gymnastics in conjunction with its partners, prepared eighteen gymnasts to form part of Team GB – a team that went on to achieve an historic medal haul for Great Britain and included four Olympic gymnastics medals.

The outpouring of pride, passion and support for our gymnasts by members of the sport, fans and the general public reached new heights during London 2012. To say our London 2012 campaign has been a success is a massive under-statement. The results achieved by our team were a watershed for gymnastics in the United Kingdom and will provide a lasting legacy for the ongoing development of the sport for years to come.

To commemorate our London 2012 successes, British Gymnastics is pleased to present a special pictorial issue of this month's Gymnast magazine. The photos, quotes, vision and results included in this special issue, provide the perfect keepsake for all members and fans of the sport and is the best way for British Gymnastics to say "thanks" for your support, commitment and belief in our team.

The results and accolades achieved by our team are testament to our strong and vibrant sport which will continue to grow and diversify as we head towards Rio and beyond. I trust that like me, you are 'Proud to be part of British Gymnastics' and enjoy our special '17 Days of Glory' issue of the Gymnast magazine.
