Key Note Speaker
British Gymnastics is delighted to announce that we have successfully secured MARGARET SIKKENS AHLQUIST, FIG Gymnastics for All President as the key note speaker for the 2013 Conference.
Margret is internationally responsible for the world-wide development and spread of Gymnastics for All (GfA). She successfully developed the World Gymnaestrada and the Gym for Life Challenge, as the two official international GfA events of the FIG and is responsible for the creation and enhancement of structures of activities, organisation and education in all FIG Member Federations. In her Key note speeches, she will speak about GfA internationally and the role the FIG plays in developing and delivering it, enabling clubs to get a better understanding of GfA internationally and the different programmes delivered. She will discuss her personal beliefs of GfA, how she thinks it could grow in the UK and how this can benefit you and your club.
The dazzling National Awards is a fantastic evening that takes place on the Saturday night of the conference weekend. Here we recognise and celebrate the efforts and achievements of the most inspirational people within our gymnastics community. Is there someone who has dedicated their life to your gym club? Alongside the BG Honorary Awards clubs can nominate that special someone for a development award and get their hard work recognised on a national scale.
There are 5 awards you can nominate someone for:
