The British team set to compete at the 2013 World Games in Cali (Colombia) has been finalised with synchronized trampoline, tumbling, double mini-trampoline and acrobatic gymnasts all chosen to compete in the multi-sport event from July 25th – August 11th.
The trampoline event will see Olympian Kat Driscoll pair up with her long term synchro partner Amanda Parker, with Luke Strong and Nathan Bailey in the men’s competition.
In the acrobatic event Britain’s 2013 champions have been selected with Alex Houston and Timothy Pritchard in men’s pair, Shanie-Redd Thorne and Danielle Jones the women’s pair, mixed pair Alice Upcott and Dominic Smith along with the women’s group of Georgia Lancaster, Elise Matthews and Millie Spalding.
2012 Tumbling British champions Kristoff Willerton and Rachael Letsche will also be action; with 2011 DMT British champion Peter Cracknell and 2012 British silver medallist Nicole Short completing the GBR line up.
The 2013 World Games, often known as the Olympics for non-Olympic sports, is expected to feature over 3000 athletes across 38 sports ranging from squash to orienteering. For more information on the 2013 World Games visit the official website by clicking here.
