Sofia (BUL) : Emma Smith produced a superb qualification performance to place fourth individually in the Trampoline World Championship qualification while leading the GBR women’s team - along with Bryony Page, Kat Driscoll and Laura Gallagher - to second in the team rankings.
Emma scored 101.305 over her set (46.55) and voluntary (54.750) routines to progress confidently into the “semi-finals” which then sees the top 24 cut to the final 8.
Kat Driscoll (7th) and Laura Gallagher (10th) join Emma in the next round while British champion Bryony Page put in a great performance to finish 12th but unfortunately only the top 3 per country can advance.
In the men's competition, Emma’s City of Liverpool teammate Luke Strong also excelled to qualify 13th (103.970) to make the individual semi-final with good performances also coming from teammates Bradley Hampson 37th and Kayvon Arasteh in 42nd.
The GB women’s team will compete in the team final on Friday when Amanda Parker and Kat Driscoll also compete in the synchronized trampoline qualifying. Luke Strong is back in semi-final qualification action Saturday and Emma, Kat and Laura on Sunday as they all look to further progress into the finals.
