Britain’s Kelly Simm has taken the all-around gold medal at the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea with a masterful performance scoring an impressive 56.332 with Japan's Asuka Teramoto and Natsumi Sasada completing the podium places after earning 55.965 and 55.432 points respectively.
Kelly from Dynamo Gym Club continues her memorable summer in which she has already completed a successful European Games for TeamGB and now as flag bearer for the GBR University Games has taken the top title.
Kelly followed up her all-around competition by adding the vault silver and floor bronze medals and placing fourth on the bars.
"Winning gold in the team event at the Commonwealth Games was such a big achievement for me, but to do it as an individual at the World University Games is definitely one of my greatest achievements” said Kelly. "It’s the first time I’ve won three medals at a competition. To see the look on my coach and parents’ faces was such a special feeling. The World University Games has helped me massively and I’m really proud with the way it has gone.”
