Two silvers and a bronze for GB acrobatic gymnasts in Portugal

Our acrobatic gymnasts excelled at their recent World Cup in Maia, Portugal, coming away with two silver medals and bronze.

In the men’s group category, Conor Sawenko, Charlie Tate, Lewis Watts and Adam Upcott scored 29.1 to take the second spot on the podium. In the women’s group, Great Britain had two representatives. The group of Ilisha Boardman, Isabel Haigh and Emily Hancock successfully took the silver medal with a score of 28.150, with Jennifer Bailey, Roxanna Parker and Gabby Potter finishing in bronze with 27.730.

Congratulations to all coaches, clubs and gymnasts on a great competition.

Over in the USA, artistic gymnasts Amy Tinkler and Sam Oldham were taking part in the American Cup. Sam finished in 8th place carrying a few falls with Amy finishing in 9th place after unfortunately having to pull out of her final piece of apparatus.
