GB men’s team announced for European Championships

group men 2017

Great Britain’s men’s artistic gymnastics team for the 2017 European Championships will be Joe Fraser, James Hall, Sam Oldham, Courtney Tulloch, Dominick Cunningham and Frank Baines.

18-year-old British all-around champion Joe Fraser (City of Birmingham) makes his senior major championship debut joined by British all-around silver medallist James Hall (Pegasus) and his club teammate and rings sensation Courtney Tulloch. Olympic team bronze medallist Sam Oldham (Notts), British floor champion Frank Baines (Southport) and vault champion Dom Cunningham (City of Birmingham) complete the GB line up.

Eddie Van Hoof, British Gymnastics Head National Coach for men’s artistic gymnastics said: “As the first European Championship of the new Olympic cycle this competition gives the unknown a chance to become known. Our British team members are relatively young and inexperienced in such events and this affords them the exposure to compete against Europe’s best and measure their progress. There are a number of medal opportunities for the taking.”

The 2017 European Championships take place in Cluj-Napoca (ROU) from April 19th to 23rd with competitions for all-around and individual apparatus titles. Our women’s team of four gymnasts will be confirmed Wednesday 12th.
