British success at acrobatic World Cup and aerobic international

Great Britain defeats Chinese Men’s Group.

Great Britain’s Paul Dixon, Steven Dixon, Finnian Gavin and Jesse Heskett from Deerness Valley Gymnastics Club took on the might of the Chinese men’s four to take the World Cup gold at the acrobatic gymnastics FIG World Cup event in Geneva.

The Chinese led through qualifying but it was Britain’s higher technical and artistic scores in the final that led them to the gold medal with a score of 29.430.

In their first International outing GB men’s pair Jake Phelan and Michael Hill from South Tyneside Gymnastics Club, performed consistent routines finishing in an impressive 8th place scoring 26.920 as they build up to the World Games in July.

Aerobic sucess in Portugal.

At the 7th Aerobic International Open Competition in Cantanhede (POR) many of our young rising-stars in aerobic gymnastics were in action.

In the National Development competition, Jasmine Dight took bronze scoring 17.550 with Lulu Sargent placing in 5th (17.350).

In the Age Group 1 event GB Trio, Lola Lawrence, Molly Brown and Bella Styles also won bronze scoring 18.900 whilst in the individual event Lola Lawrence took 5th (19.250) and Nancy Law 8th with 18.850 points.
