Trampoline and Tumbling stars show great promise ahead of 2017 World Championships

Our top GB senior gymnasts travelled to Spain over the weekend to test themselves against high level international stars at the World Cup, ahead of the 2017 World Championships next month. 

2017 British men’s trampoline champion, Luke Strong and Rio Olympian, Nathan Bailey took an impressive gold in the senior men’s synchro event with 52.250 ahead of Japan in silver 51.350 and France in bronze 51.250.

In the senior women’s trampoline event, 2017 British Champion, Laura Gallagher was on great form back on the international scene, finishing 4th in a high calibre final with 56.290.

In the men’s tumbling, former World Champion, Kristoff Willerton looked strong, taking silver with 75.500. Rising star, Kallum Mulhall took the 5th spot in the final with 65.800.

This weekend also saw some of Great Britain’s promising juniors head to Portugal for the international Loule Cup. The team came back with some brilliant results with several medals across trampoline, tumbling and DMT.
