Park Wrekin gymnast Alice Kinsella be competing for Great Britain at the Gymnastics World Cup at Arena Birmingham. The 16-year-old who placed second at the 2017 British Championships and competed at the World Championship last year, takes the place of Claudia Fragapane who recently suffered an Achilles injury.
Alice said: “I’m so excited to be competing at the Gymnastics World Cup because it’s in my home town and I can’t wait to compete in front of everyone. I live and grew up in Sutton Coldfield so it’s a great opportunity for me to be able to perform in front of my friends and family. The Gymnastics World Cup is a huge event and the perfect competition for me to experience before the Commonwealth Games, to have the big arena and the home crowd cheering me on will be an amazing feeling. “
Alice joins Amy Tinkler, James Hall and Dom Cunningham in the GB line up. The prestigious Gymnastics World Cup is an International Gymnastics Federation all-around event, which for the men includes the floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and high bar whilst the women will battle it out on vault, uneven bars, beam and floor.
Tickets for both nights of the event are available now from www.gymnasticsworldcup.co.uk.
