Lola Lawrence, Bella Styles, Molly Brown, Nancy Law and Seren Jones have made history for Great Britain securing the AG1 silver medal at the aerobic World age-group championships in Guimarães, Portugal.
A spectacular performance from the girls in the final gave them a score of 19.000 for our best ever group result. The superb silver capped a brilliant championships for our young aerobic gymnasts with notable performances across the categories.
In the individual women’s AG1 event Lola Lawrence produced our best ever result in this category qualifying for the final in 5th with a score of 19.200 for her “Frozen” inspired routine. In the final she also finished in 5th place with a score of 19.200 points.
Also in the finals were our 12-14 year trio Lola Lawrence, Bella Styles and Molly Brown who qualified in 4th place scoring 19.050 with their ‘Once Upon a Dream’ routine, the girls matching that placing in the final. Qualifying in 9th place and just shy of the final was our popular ‘Adams Family’ routine by Alisha Bartlett, Holly Goodey and Teagan Bendall with a score of 18.550; an excellent achievement with two groups in the top ten.
In the AG2 group category Katie Guinn, Shanice George, Mia Gibson, Emily James and Anya Mackie performed a very clean routine scoring 19.250 to qualify for the finals in 6th place. In the final itself they matched that score and placing exactly.
