Dom Cunningham has taken two medals at the 2018 Osijek World Challenge Cup.
Competing on his two strongest apparatus - floor and vault - Dom qualified for both finals in impressive fashion and then produced when it mattered to take home a gold on floor and silver on vault.
The floor final came first, and Dom didn’t disappoint, going through his routine clean to score a massive 14.867. On vault, Dom was just pipped to the title by Israel’s Andrey Medvedev, with the City of Birmingham gymnast scoring an average of 14.434 over his two vaults.
Jay Thompson from South Essex was unlucky not to make the high bar final, scoring 13.133 to finish in ninth with the top eight making the final. On pommel Jay scored 12.133.
Hamish Carter, competing in his first World Cup event following an impressive Commonwealth Games, scored 12.800 on floor.
