Commonwealth medallist Laura Halford will be joined by rising stars Gemma Frizelle and Hannah Martin at the 2018 Rhythmic World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria starting next week (10th-16th September).
More than 350 gymnasts from 60 nations will be competing as the competition heads to Bulgaria’s capital for the first time.
Laura is one of our most successful rhythmic gymnasts having taken the British all-around title an incredible five times and has won medals for Team Wales at the last two Commonwealth Games, the latest coming this year as she claimed hoop silver.
Gemma is a Welsh teammate of Laura’s and will be competing in her first World Championships, fresh off the back of a successful 2018. At the British Championships she medalled in each apparatus final, and also made the hoop final at the Commonwealth Games for Team Wales.
Hannah is the youngest member of the British team that heads to Sofia but does so after narrowly missing out on British all-around glory early this year. She also finished a very credible seventh all-around at the Commonwealth Games for Team England.
