We are pleased to share some exciting changes regarding Disability Gymnastics that our Inclusion team have been working on over the last 18 months.

A range of impairment specific inclusion workshops are available to all British Gymnastics coaches. These are standardised workshops delivered by National Disability Sport organisations and other external disability organisations. Find out more details about where and when these will be taking place.
Bitesize videos and e-learning suite
A choice of free bitesize videos and e-learning workshops are available and can be accessed via the Inclusive Gymnastics page. These include short videos on topics such as: The STEP Model, The Activity Inclusion Model and Impairment specific e-learning workshops. The first of these videos will be available in December 2018.
We have revamped our Disability Gymnastics Guide with up to date content and new imagery. This can be accessed via the Inclusive Gymnastics page.
British Sign Language (BSL) videos
You may have seen this fantastic resource that launched in the Summer. These are bespoke gymnastics BSL videos which will support coaches when working with participants who have a hearing impairment. The British Sign Language videos can be accessed via The Academy.
There is now a dedicated support system in place for coaches who require support in either establishing or developing their disability programme. British Gymnastics coaches can complete a Support Request Form which is available on the Inclusive Gymnastics page.
This suite of resources and support tools will replace the I’M IN Programme and the National Disability Conference.
These have been created specifically for deliverers in a range of formats, to enable clubs and coaches to confidently deliver Disability Gymnastics and create opportunities for disabled individuals to participate in our sport.
