A young British senior acrobatic team have gained valuable international experience at the latest World Cup event in Belgium.
Men’s pair Finlay Gray and Frazer Windows from Spelthorne, fresh off the back of winning bronze at the America World Cup last month, just missed out on replicating that feat, scoring 28.460 for fourth place, just 0.100 off a medal.
The women’s group of Hannah Jenkins, Katie Jenkins and Emily Stock from West Street successfully qualified through to their final too, scoring 28.000 for a seventh-place finish.
Also competing in the senior competition were the mixed pair of Stamatia Raftopoulou and Kieran Whittle (Southampton Gym Club), who were unfortunate to miss out on a final by less than 0.500 of a mark. This was the first senior competition for this pair.
It was also the first senior competition for the men’s pair of Jamie Jeffery and Aidan Lim (Richmond) who finished 15th in qualification.
