Due to the current President, Brian Everett MBE, finishing his eight year term of office, there will be an election for a new British Gymnastics President at the Annual General Meeting which will be taking place on 17th October 2019 with further details to be announced soon.
We are now seeking nominations.
Who can be nominated?
To be eligible for election, a person must be a Life, Gold or Joint member of British Gymnastics both at the date of their nomination and at the date of election. They must also meet the nomination criteria laid down in the Eligibility Criteria which can be found here.
Who can make nominations?
To make a nomination you must be a Life, Gold or Joint member of British Gymnastics.
How to make a nomination?
Nominations must be made in writing, signed by the nominated member and by at least two other members supporting the nominated member and returned as outlined on the Nomination Form which can be found here. All nominations must be accompanied by a CV and a Declaration of Eligibility (see Eligibility Criteria here).
The written and signed nomination and accompanying paperwork must be given to British Gymnastics on, or before, the closing date for nominations by Wednesday 31st July 2019. Any nominations received after this date will be invalid.
All nominations received will be presented to the Nominations Committee for validation and subsequently listed in the formal Notice calling the AGM.
Nominated candidates will also be given the opportunity to publish a message to members on our website.
