Ondine Achampong has won a superb all-around silver medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Having qualified in third place, Ondine was at her best to score 52.950 to win her second medal of the Festival, having helped the team to bronze yesterday (Wednesday).
Also competing in the all-around final for GB was Halle Hilton who did well to finish in 8th place with 50.400.
Ondine scored consistently well across the apparatus, scoring 13.600 on vault, 13.250 on uneven bars, 13.200 on beam, before finishing on floor with 12.900 to confirm her silver medal.
In the morning session, Raekwon Baptiste and Sam Mostowfi competed in the junior men’s all-around final with Raekwon finishing in 20th place, scoring 75.450 and Sam scoring 75.100 for 22nd.
Tomorrow (Friday) Sam competes in the floor final, and then on Saturday, Ondine and Halle will go for medals in the beam final, with Sam and Raekwon back to compete in the vault final.
