Vitanova crowned 2019 rhythmic British champion

Christianna Vitanova is the 2019 senior rhythmic British champion.

Christianna from Elite Gymnastics Academy claimed her first British all-around title with a score of 56.600 across the four apparatus. She was followed by her club mate Alida Bogdanova with a score of 52.550 with Gemma Frizelle taking the bronze medal with 51.450 points. 

Saffron Severn of Rhythmic Excellence won the junior all-around (56.200) from Elizabeth Popova of Llanelli (51.750) and Marfa Ekimova of LAGAD-RG who scored 50.350. The under 12 title was won by Melissa Toma and the under 10 by Viktorija Antonova.

Christianna said after: "A lot of hard work has gone into this; I was very nervous today. This trophy means so much to me, it will go right to the front of my collection. I’m so happy not just for me but for my coach too."

The senior group champions are the gymnasts from Senior Stars with i-star Academy taking the elite junior group gold and Worcester Bluestars the elite espoir group title.

The Championship Series continues on Sunday with the acrobatic titles decided along with the rhythmic apparatus medals and TeamGym Challenge events.
