The GLL Sport Foundation (GSF) is backing the next generation of elite gymnasts by offering financial support through their athlete support programme.
Formed in 2008, GSF is the largest independent athlete support programme. The Foundation is operated by Charitable Social Enterprise, GLL, a partner of British Gymnastics, and supports athletes in 73 areas across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
In 2019, GSF supported over 3,000 athletes across 117 sporting disciplines, taking its total investment to £11 million in 11 years. In the same year, GSF supported 87 gymnasts across various disciplines.
This support has contributed to the success of numerous athletes including Olympic and world boxing champion Anthony Joshua.

Speaking in 2019, she said: “The financial support that I have received has allowed me to compete internationally at FIG competitions such as the World Cup in Pesaro and Grand Prix in Ukraine. The GLL Sport Foundation helped my parents afford multiple national team training camps at Lilleshall [National Sport Centre] and prepare for important tournaments such as European Championships and the Commonwealth Games.”
