#PresentForPounds raises £20,000 for NHS

PFP Total 750x500
We are delighted to announce that thanks to the gymnastics community, alongside matched funding, an amazing £20,000 has been raised for NHS Charities Together.

Our #PresentForPounds campaign launched just over three weeks ago and encouraged people within the sport to post their gymnastics ‘present’ online before donating via our JustGiving page.

Gymnasts, fans, parents, judges and coaches all took part, with over 600 people using the hashtag on Instagram alone. There was also support from a host of clubs across the UK, as they produced compilation videos before sharing them online.

Welsh Gymnastics got involved too, making a £1,000 donation at the end of the campaign to give the final total a boost.

Jane Allen, British Gymnastics CEO said: "I’d like to congratulate and thank everyone for getting behind this campaign, which has shown a great amount of support for those working tirelessly for the NHS at this time.

"Despite the current circumstances, seeing people within the gymnastics community come together has been heart-warming. Thank you to everyone who took part, had some fun, and donated to a very worthy cause."

At the beginning of the campaign, we announced that we would match all donations made to our JustGiving page up to £50,000. This included matching £8,000 raised by both the trampoline and aerobic community.

With all of your donations, plus the matched fundraising, £20,000 will be donated to NHS Charities Together.
