We are looking for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organisation after the Tokyo Olympic Games and help shape our future strategy.
As the national governing body for gymnastics in the UK, our organisation exists to be a national directive and provide structure for the sport; delivering a range of opportunities to take part and stay in gymnastics, as well as developing talent and delivering top-level success.
We are searching for a new CEO who can drive the organisation forward into a new era.
Gymnastics plays a significant role in the lives of hundreds of thousands of young people across the UK. It provides children with many key physical and social skills, laying the foundations for a healthy lifestyle. We are working hard to ensure that registered gymnastics providers across the country are able to return to delivering the sport following the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Gymnastics clubs are at the heart of our sport and are crucial for creating welcoming and safe environments for children and young people to take part. In light of what has been an important year for the welfare of the sport, we recognise as an organisation that we need to take more steps to deliver a cultural change. We are fully committed to making continuous improvements to our Integrity Unit and ensuring that best practice is carried out across the sport and the community.
We are fully supportive of the Whyte Review and we will be prepared to act on the review’s recommendations when it is complete, with some positive changes already in progress.
There are many exceptionally talented gymnasts that compete in the sport across the Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines. We want to help every athlete to achieve success and inspire the next generation. Through our high-performance programme and investment in coach education, we are here to promote world class performance and world leading coaching and judging, whilst also working to help every gymnast, no matter what level, have an enjoyable experience in the sport.
Through consultation with all stakeholders, our new CEO will be an ambassador for the future, ensuring the gymnastics community has a shared vision for the way forward.
