We are supporting clubs interested in crowdfunding by assisting in the set-up of new Crowdfunder projects.
Crowdfunder is a fundraising platform that allows clubs and organisations to tell their story and engage with not just their members, but their local community and businesses to raise money for worthy causes.
Crowdfunder has match funding available from a selection of UK partners including Sport England to support clubs and organisations in fundraising efforts set-up to combat the financial difficulty caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
We have created a guide to provide more information on Crowdfunder and the support that is available through Sport England’s Active Together Fund and Crowdfunder’s + Extra funding.
To support new crowdfunding projects set-up by clubs, British Gymnastics will be offering some incentives to clubs that create new fundraising projects and are active with their campaigns. Clubs will be identified for their efforts and will be contacted individually.
Crowdfunder are running a sport specific webinar on Tuesday 16th March from 3.30pm to 4pm to show sports clubs how crowdfunding can be an effective way to raise funds.
The webinar will cover how crowdfunding works, Crowdfunder Sport grant funding and how you can access guidance and support available. As well as this, Crowdfunder will also be speaking to another sports organisation to discuss how they created a successful fundraising project.
Sport England will also be involved, giving details on the Active Together Fund, but the webinar will offer guidance to all clubs on how to set-up a good Crowdfunder project.
